What do we do?

The OKFB provides up to a 3-day supply of nutritious, kosher food to our clients once a month. We have two distributions each month to best serve our clients. In addition to the food we provide, we give out Recipes of the Month that focus on a new food each month available in the food bank.

Volunteer

The OKFB relies on a strong group of volunteers to help out with various tasks. If you would like to volunteer to stock shelves or help out at a distribution, please email Linda at linda@kehillatbethisrael.com or call 613-728-3501 ext. 235.

The Ottawa Kosher Food Bank (OKFB) is located inside of Kehillat Beth Israel synagogue at 1400 Coldrey Avenue in Ottawa.We are dedicated to providing healthful kosher food to Ottawa families who are in need. We are the only kosher food bank in Ottawa.

Our main goal is to help people in our community feel more secure food-wise. Too many people are experiencing food insecurity today. We provide up to 3 days worth of food to everyone; what we can give out equally to all of our clients.
